Has detail distribution ever felt "unfair" to employees even when a coordinator feels they have been unbiased and impartial? Many detail coordinators feel overwhelmed by inquiries as to why details have been distributed a certain way, and it can get to the point where those who are trying their best are extremely overwhelmed. At PowerDetails, we understand this. We're here to work with your agency’s administration, while at the same time connecting with off-duty-details coordinator who wants to make detail distribution as fair as genuinely possible for all employees, and for the employees themselves to make sure that they are getting an equal chance at details and the unique needs of each individual. Our mission is to provide you with an easy-to-use system that allows you to personalize job posting and distribution your way while maintaining fair practices.
You and your agency may have tried several different methods to distribute jobs fairly. Maybe you currently assign jobs randomly by having personnel pick numbers out of a hat and sign up for jobs based on their numbered orders. Then, when it's their numbered turn, they get to pick their jobs for the next month. Or, possibly, you distribute jobs based on seniority by reading names off a list and offering jobs to the most senior-level personnel down to the newest employee. Or perhaps you offer job details on a first-come, first-serve basis. In each of these situations, you most likely have a cap on how many jobs or hours an employee can sign up for within a specific time period (i.e., 10 jobs per month or 20 hours per week). We understand that every agency practices unique methods and, for the most part, strive to accomplish a common goal.
